Ribble FM has been awarded £9838 from Awards for All – Big Lottery Fund. The funding will allow the Community Station to purchase marketing materials and recording equipment to get the station up and running. Along with other community grants Ribble FM can now forge ahead with its FM goal
Ribble FM launched its online streaming at ribblefm.com on Saturday 8###sup/sup### August and it marks the first big step for this Community Radio Station.
Local businessman James Warburton has offered "the gatehouse" at his new Mill development to Ribble FM and The Bowker Group are providing a Mini Cooper as a Sponsor Vehicle.
Kath Lord-Green, Executive Director of Ribble FM says "It's been a lot of hard work but it's a great achievement that only one year after being granted our 5 year licence from Ofcom, we have launched Ribble FM online. We are delighted to be supported by this "Awards for All" grant and we are grateful to the local community for their continued support, we are now looking forward to being on air with our fm frequency as soon as we can"
